Students
We believe in students!
We believe in the students of today. We believe God is calling them right now to be leaders, influencers, and participants in the full life He has for them.
No matter where you find yourself in life or faith, Providence Students is a place where you can know you are welcomed, encouraged, loved, and pointed toward Jesus. We don’t believe we have all the answers, but we do believe that everyone has a seat at the table with Jesus. We want to prepare environments and opportunities for students to encounter Jesus for the first time, or on a deeper level.
Middle School Small Groups
We love small groups. While Biblical teaching and mentorship from our student leadership team are important, the space for honesty and friendship that small groups provide may be the best thing we do. We believe there is nothing more important than getting involved in a small group!

Providence Students are invited to take part in a weekend of worship and fun along with other local student ministries in Mt. Juliet. We will worship with all the churches at First Baptist Church Mt. Juliet on Friday night, Saturday morning, and Saturday night. Our students will stay at host homes of our church members on Friday and Saturday night and have a fun outing on Saturday afternoon. Register by January 15th in order to receive a t-shirt. Registration closes on Feb 5th.
FEB – APR | Confirmation | REGISTER
Confirmation is a worship service where young people are offered an opportunity to “confirm” their intention to live the vows of the baptismal covenant. It is a meaningful and memorable moment in a student’s spiritual life. In order to prepare for confirmation, students will attend confirmation classes and the confirmation retreat where they will learn the basics of Christianity and have the opportunity to apply these truths to their own lives. Students in 7th grade and above are invited to participate.
MAR 5-10 | Spring Break Mission Trip – Washington, DC | REGISTER
Providence Students will be partnering with CSM for a mission trip to Washington, DC for spring break 2023. Students will have the opportunity to learn about our country’s rich history and also serve those in need. This trip is open to the first 22 high school students who register or to middle school students whose parent attends as a chaperone.
JUN 19-20 | Mix Conference – Lee University Cleveland, TN | REGISTER
Students who have completed 6 – 7th grades are invited to attend the Mix Conference, a four-day middle school event held in various locations all over the country! Mix is designed to address the unique spiritual, cognitive, and developmental needs of middle schoolers in a summer conference setting. This time with God and other students might be the most important part of their summer!
Adult Leadership Opportunities
There are two things we understand here at Providence Students:
- A huge part of who we are as adults comes from others pouring into, loving, encouraging, and being there for us in our younger years. It could have been a parent, a sibling, a coach, a teacher, or someone else. But we know that we wouldn’t have gotten to where we are today without them.
- God has called us all to make disciples and pour into one another. You, yes you, have unique gifts, stories, lessons, and understandings of God because of how God has been present in your own life story. You are a deep well that our students need to draw from. We need you!
