It turns out the people God uses are often the ones we think He would never use. God chooses rascals to carry out his greatest plans. Jesus chose salty fishermen and cheating tax collectors to be his apprentices, his disciples. Jesus healed a man with leprosy, the one no one else would touch, and used him to spread not disease, but the good news. Jesus doesn't make you clean up your act before following Him; instead, He takes on all comers and transforms them inside and out.
