We remember Jesus with this meal.
Holy Communion is a sacrament (a holy moment) we celebrate weekly during worship at Providence Church during which we give thanks for who Jesus Christ is and reflect on his life, death, and resurrection. At different times in your life or different seasons in the Christian year, you may have a variety of feelings as you take communion. One particular part of the liturgy (work of the people) is when the pastor says "Hear the good news: Christ died for us while we were yet sinners; that proves God's love toward us. In the name of Jesus Christ, you are forgiven!" To which we respond back, "In the name of Jesus Christ, you are forgiven!" What an awesome truth to be reminded of...that we are all loved by God!
If you would like to offer the bread or juice during Holy Communion or help with the setting of the table please contact Sylvia Massey or Betsy Hall.
