Care for the Student's Soul & Ways to Engage
The Providence Students Team has worked to engage with your students on a regular bases. Here are the ways that your student can engage:
- Sunday Night Live Has Moved To Wednesday Nights on YouTube and Instagram. Every Wednesday Night at 7:00 pm we go live on YouTube & Instagram. This is for all middle and high school students. Join us!
- Small groups continue to meet weekly online. We've been having incredible online small group meetings the past two weeks and we are looking forward to more. If your student hasen’t signed up for a small group, this is an great time to get plugged into one.
- Social Media. Follow us on Instagram and Facebook. We go live daily on Instagram with Pastor Pierce and a student to read Psalm 91 together and pray. We also post daily at 12:00 pm the following five items as a way engage with students:
- Scripture: This is a scripture that we are asking students to read and respond to each day
Prayer Focus: Provided is an outline and focus for a time of prayer
- Worship Songs: We are linking to some of our favorite worship videos to declare our praises to God.
- Questions: We have some fun questions to ask students
- Letters: This is huge! This is our tornado relief project right now. We are writing letters of encouragement, support, and love to those serving our communities.
- Offline Offerings: If you've made the decision to not have your student on social media, we honor that decision. Here is how your student can engage in four of the five areas mentioned above.
- Scriptures: We will go through Psalm 91 this week
- Monday: Verse 1 - 3
- Tuesday: Verse 4 - 6
- Wednesday: Verse 7-8
- Thursday: Verse 9-10
- Friday: Verse 11 -12
- Saturday: Verse 13 -14
- Sunday: Verse 15-16
- Prayer Topic
- Monday: Medical professionals
- Tuesday: Caregivers
- Wednesday: Our country, it's leaders, and those around the world
- Thursday: Youth and those who love them.
- Friday: Kids, parents, and teachers
- Saturday: Sabbath, a day of rest.
- Sunday: Providence Church Staff and Student Leaders
- Worship Songs: If you can simply take a screen shot of the YouTube video on your phone and share it with your student, that would be great.
- Writing Topic
- Monday: Non-profit groups helping our city in this time of need.
- Tuesday: Teachers
- Wednesday: Local business that have helped our community
- Thursday: City Officials
- Friday: Fire Department
- Saturday: Police Department
- Sunday: Other local church pastors in our area
