Care for Your Soul Through Personal Study

Sounds contrary to Small Groups, right? The weekly study guides have been revised to do just that. You can access a study guide for each message on the Messages Page of our website anytime. Then...

Engage with Your Small Group Using Video Conferencing

As you know, we are called to community and connection and right now that looks different than what we're accustomed to. So, we want to provide you with some tools to remain connected with your Small Group! This is not to overwhelm you or to point out that you aren't tech savvy. These are just some tools that we want to pass along in hopes that you can stay connected. If you have a computer, laptop, tablet, or smartphone, your Small Group can do it! All you need is one person in your Small Group to take the lead. We are here to help! Contact Joy Dodge or Pastor Mark for assistance. Here are the Tools to Get You Started 1. Zoom This is a great, free video conferencing service that two Small Groups are already using! Here's how:
  • Go to www.zoom.us
  • Sign up for a free account. They'll send you a confirmation email, and then you follow the prompts to complete your registration.
  • You will then be provided a personal meeting URL to copy and paste. Just send this link to your group members along with a designated meeting time, and then you can all join together in a meeting at the same time.
Please note: Zoom's free version is limited to 40-minutes. That's okay! If you get cut-off during your meeting, just log back on and the timer starts over. 2.Google Hangouts Meet Google has opened up Hangouts Meet for free! This one is best if a group member with a Gmail account sets it up. Here's how:
  • Once logged into Google or Gmail...
  • Click the dots beside the GSuite tab on the right side of your screen.
  • Click on "Meet."
  • Click "Join or start a meeting." You can choose to name it or not. Click continue.
  • It will say "Meeting Ready" and show your lovely face. Click "Join now."
  • It will then ask if you want to add others. You can either click "add people" to add your Small Group members or copy the link and email it to everyone.
And, as mentioned above, the Study Guides are still available on the Messages Page of our website.
