Finding Blessings in Community

By Joy Dodge, Director of Connections

When a group of Providence women started Priscilla Shirer's Bible study Discerning the Voice of God back in February, they never anticipated meeting virtually through Zoom! However, a global pandemic will not stop God's people from gathering . . . especially our women at Providence!

Rhonda Shepard, a co-leader of the Tuesday morning study, said, "What a blessing to see familiar faces and share what God is showing us through the Voice of God study. And hearing His voice at this particular time is very comforting and encouraging to us all. It’s a great way to feel connected!"

Emily Sherrod, also a co-leader of the Tuesday morning study, shared, "How amazing it has been to stay connected to our Bible study group during this crazy, scary time in our history! With the ability to share in discussions via Zoom technology, God is providing a way for us to feel the love and support of our Christian community as we all seek to discern the Voice of God. What a blessing!"

Though this Bible study is wrapping up, Pastor Jacob is starting a new online book and Bible study for everyone using his book Playlist. For more information, visit https://prov.church/weekly-bible-book-study-with-pastor-jacob/.
