Jacob Armstrong was born and raised in Mount Juliet. Following seminary, he and his wife Rachel served for 10 years at First United Methodist Church in Murfreesboro, TN. Dreaming of a church where disconnected people could find hope, healing, and wholeness in Jesus, in 2008, Jacob and Rachel returned to Mount Juliet to start Providence Church. Besides Providence, Jacob’s most formative ministry experiences have been mission trips in the U.S., Mexico, Spain, and Nicaragua. Jacob enjoys running, canoeing, and playing with his dog Zeke. Jacob and Rachel have three daughters (that’s right, three daughters!), Mary, Lydia, and Phoebe.
Mark Youngman grew up in Kansas, but calls Tennessee home after serving several churches across Middle Tennessee for the last fifteen years. He and his wife Jenny share the Providence dream of helping disconnected people find hope, healing, and wholeness in Jesus. Mark has a deep love for the church and a desire to see lives changed through the transforming love of God. Mark and Jenny have four kids, Gracie, Myles, Olivia, and Beckett. In addition to hanging out with his kids, Mark loves running, hiking, good coffee, and serving as a roadie at Jenny Youngman concerts.
